The British Royal Historical Society has launched a new programme to support the work of International Fellows and Associate Fellows.
The beneficiaries are members of the RHS who live outside the United Kingdom and Ireland and wish to conduct research in the United Kingdom and/or the Republic of Ireland. The new International Research Support Grants offer a grant of up to £1,000 per award for conducting historical research, for a clearly defined project, in the United Kingdom and/or the Republic of Ireland. In the first round, the Society intends to award a maximum of five grants.
Details of this new funding programme are available on the RHS website. Applications may be submitted by current RHS International Fellows and International Associate Fellows by the closing date of Friday 8 May 2026.
